Dr Navamani Elia Peter is one of the towering and gentle personalities among the foremothers of ATTWI who served as its President for two terms (1990-1997). All through her life she consistently created spaces and opportunities for both lay and theologically trained women in India to build their capacities, make their contributions, and take their rightful place as equal members in church and society.
